This Saint-Émilion property has been in the hands of the Malet-Roquefort family since 1705, whilst the estate itself dates from the second century. The 2019 vintage is Merlot driven, with a smaller percentage Cabernet Franc making up the blend. A fragrant, aromatic red with concentrated dark fruit character and a lovely freshness.

La Gaffelière’s vineyards lie on the lower slope, facing broadly southeast. In all, the property boasts 22 hectares (54 acres) of vineyard, of which roughly 70 percent is planted to Merlot and 30 percent to Cabernet Franc.
